The races start off with a challenging climb up the mountain along “The Hermitage” to “Never-ending Story”. At the end of “Never-ending Story” the two routes split.  

The eight kilometre course crosses the valley and runs to “Judges Head”, through “Judges Chambers” and back down to the race finish. The 18 kilometre route continues from the split to “Red Rock Rabbit Run”, “Muddy Waters” and then follows the jeep track to the Maarmanskraal dam.  You run through the buchu fields to “Castle Rock” then onto “Judges Head”, “Judges Chambers” and back down to the finish.
