The race starts in the heart of the nature reserve and takes you past the southwestern tip of the continent at the Cape of Good Hope. Here curious ostriches and eager baboons look on as the moderately challenging route winds through acres of indigenous fynbos. The last two kilometre climb will test even the strongest before the welcome 400 metre steep downhill finish. This is southeaster season and you may have to contend with the 'Cape Doctor'.
