THE RUN



The longer 36 kilometre route is a challenging mountain to be sure. There are a number of demanding technical sections and tricky descents that are best walked. The intermediate 25 kilometre trail is not quite as tough but it will extend most athletes. The 12 kilometre fun run is an easy scenic meander along the riverside.

EDITORS NOTES

If you intend running the longer event the organisers recommend that you carry at least 1.5 litres of fluid. There are no official water tables on the route but there is an emergency water point at the Greek Church. Windbreakers are compulsory for the long route. A waterproof jacket is highly recommended if rain is expected. Make sure you have one for race day. You will also need to carry a charged cell phone with the race organiser’s emergency number. Included in all entry fees is your Van Gaalens picnic lunch.
