THE RUN
To run this race well you need to be conservative in the opening stages. The route is moderate by most standards and the run to the halfway mark is relatively easy. There are a few gentle pulls to the halfway mark but the real challenge lies a little further on.
FACILITES
There is an information centre, crèche and entertainment for the children. There are bed and breakfast facilities at the school hostel. The whole family will enjoy the food festival, flea market stalls and live music.

The Safari Half Marathon has been consistently ranked in a number of our surveys as a well-organised and well presented event. There is entertainment for all and the organisers go out of their way to make it a fun-filled and enjoyable day for your family. This race has become one of the largest in the Western Cape in terms of its field. The 20.5 and 14 kilometre trail runs start at 07h15 from General Hertzog Boulevard, next to Hugenot School, Wellington.
