The event is strictly pre-entry and usually closes two weeks before the race. Wheelchair athletes are welcome in all events and a suitable helmet is compulsory. Blind runners welcome and may enter on the day directly with the organisers.

THE RUN
This two lapper gently meanders through the four suburbs of Vereeniging and along the Suikerbos, Vaal and Klip Rivers. While it is fair to say that the route is flat, it is by no means the easiest marathon; you will have to work the whole way.

Walkers may to enter the half marathon. This is the biggest event in the Vaal Triangle. It is highly recommended as a flat and fast qualifier and attracts hundreds of runners from the Reef. It is a short 45 minute drive from Johannesburg.
