The route goes through the Kearsney College Campus and onto the Old Main Road. Here ring echoes of the ‘Big One’ as you run partly along the Comrades route and then up to the Alverstone Tower. This stretch must rank as the most beautiful and scenic area of the Comrades Marathon. The second half of the race goes through the Assegai Valley, up Heidi's Hill and back onto Old Main Road. Save something for the end and the final demanding hill home to Kearsney College.
