This moderate course starts at the circle near the ruins of the old band stand and takes you out of the Oval and across Park Drive, which is closed to traffic for the duration. From here you run into the mayor's garden where there is a gentle eight metre climb over a distance of some 160 metres, through the beautiful Western Palm Avenue. The "highest point" is in Balmoral Drive which will also be closed to traffic. The route finishes with a little loop around the "Public Library" and heads back through the dappled shadows of the magnificent trees.
