THE RUN
The race is run in three lanes around a grass track with the inside lane being reserved for walkers and the outside two lanes for runners. The lanes are approximately 333 metres long. Although the route is rated as easy, it can prove mentally demanding.
FACILITES
There are hot showers and a basic medical facility situated inside the Club building.

The Longest Day celebrates its 24th anniversary in 2019. The record for the race is held by Obert Ngcobo who covered 143.99 kilometres in 2003. The women's record holder is Veronica Mahlati who ran 118.64 kilometres in that same year. A quality refreshment station will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own personal team. Participants who complete 100 kilometres in the event join the prestigious 100 kilometre club. The 1000 kilometre club is open to all who cover the distance over a number of years. The Hall of Fame inducts all who finish 10 events. Minimum Distances: 80 km for Runners and 60 km for Walkers
