This is a moderate and scenic race that is run mostly inside the West Coast National Park, alongside the Langebaan Lagoon. A feature of this event is the absence of cars which are not allowed inside the park during the race. The marathon is a rolling point to point course starting at Tzaarsbank and finishing at the Langebaan Country Estate. The half marathon is a circular route inside the Park as are the two shorter runs.
