Krugersdorp may well be appreciated for its beautiful suburbs and breathtaking views, but it is also notorious for its stern and testing hills. This may well be a night race but expect a challenge. Most of the hard climbing takes place between the first and the ninth marker boards. That translates into more than half the race. The entire event is not all about sweat and grind however and the following three kilometres to the 12 kilometre mark features a long and pleasant downhill canter. The closing stages are also flat and easy, a nice way to round off the evening.
