ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - R430,000 in Local Athlete Incentives to be paid out
Tuesday 16 July 2024
R430,000 in Local Athlete Incentives to be paid out following the 2024 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
An impressive total of R430,000 in incentives will be paid out in recognition of the incredible achievements of local athletes at the 7th edition of the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K that was held on Sunday, 7 July 2024.
The 2024 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K will be remembered as a historic event that set a new benchmark for road running excellence on the African continent. Before 7 July, many believed that Africa’s talented distance runners needed to travel to Europe, the United States, or Asia to achieve fast times. However, the iconic Durban race proved once and for all that world-class performances are indeed possible on African soil.
Finishing in fourth place overall and as the first South African woman, Glenrose Xaba shaved a single second off Elana Meyer's 23-year-old national 10km record of 31:13, to earn R130 000 in bonuses - R80 000 for running under 31:33 with a further R50 000 for breaking the record. Xaba also earned an additional R15 000 for her fourth-place finish, taking her winnings to an impressive, combined total of R145 000.
Although only available to SA Athletes, special dispensation was made for Lesotho’s Neheng Khatala who finished in 32:01 to secure fifth position and set a new national record for The Mountain Kingdom. For running under 32:08, Khatala walks away with a R60 000-time bonus.
While no individual records were broken in the men’s race, it was no less memorable for the sheer volume of first-rate performances that were recorded. Elroy Gelant won the fast and flat 10km race in a personal best time of 27:47. The first five men finished in under 28 minutes, with four of them being South African. Gelant, Kabelo Mulaudzi (27:53), Thabang Mosiako (27:54) and Stephen Mokoka (27:55) pocket R60 000 each for their efforts in a race where eight of the top eleven men ran faster than they had ever done in their lives before.
A total of R430,000 in incentives will be awarded by organizers to celebrate the outstanding achievements of local athletes at the 2024 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K. This marks the highest amount ever earned by South African athletes at an Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series event since its inception.
"It's fantastic to witness the remarkable achievements of our local athletes at the 2024 Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, culminating in R430,000 in incentives being awarded,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “Improving SA times has been a strong focus of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series since inception in 2015. Congratulations to Glenrose for her record-breaking performance, surpassing Elana’s (Meyer) long-standing record, and to Neheng for setting a new Lesotho record. On the men's side, the results showcased the best-ever 10km race held in South Africa, with four South African men breaking the 28-minute mark. This demonstrates that this achievement is becoming increasingly attainable for South Africa's elite. Remarkably, it was only three years ago at the same event that this barrier was broken for the first time.”
In closing Meyer adds: "It's incredible to witness our elite athletes reaping the rewards of years of hard work, and it's a privilege for us to see this progress unfold within the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. We look forward to building on these achievements by continuing to offer world-class 10km races that are local and accessible to all.”

Records tumble as Gelant and Njoki win Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
South African long distance sensation Elroy Gelant put on a tactical masterclass on his way to setting a new lifetime best time of 27: 47 to win the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday 7 July.
"It’s great to get my first Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series win. It took a lot of strength in the last part of the race but I'm happy I managed to hold on to the end. It’s also a combination of discipline and hard work in training. To win is crucial in terms of building the confidence leading up to the Olympics,” said an elated Gelant who will represent the country in the Olympic Marathon on August 10.
Controlling the race from start to finish, Gelant dipped under 28 minutes for only the second time following a 27:54 clocking for second place at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in May. He was followed home by defending champion Kabelo Mulaudzi (27:53), while Thabang Mosiako grabbed the last podium position in 27:54. In all, five men broke the 28-minute barrier, four of whom were South African as three-time Olympian Stephen Mokoka ran 27:56 for fifth place.
In the women’s race Christine Nalimo Njoki lead from gun to tape to set a new SA All - Comers Record. The 24-year-old stopped the clock in 30:37, which was also the fastest 10km time of her career. The Kenyan was pleased with her performance in her very first race on SA soil. “This was my first time running in South Africa. I’m so happy to be here today. It was a surprise to me because I didn’t expect this time here.”
In addition to the SA All-Comers record, there were two more records run in the women’s race. Glenrose Xaba dug deep to finish in 31:12, only one second inside the 31:13 national record set by the great Elana Meyer back in October 2001, while Lesotho’s Neheng Khatala finished in 32:01 to set a new national record for The Mountain Kingdom.
“I’m happy that I have finally run the record. Since a young age, Elana Meyer told me that one day I'll own the record because I'm strong. She is my mentor as I always look at the times she ran in the past. So to see it finally happening, I'm very happy. I also want to thank Caster Semenya and Violet for believing in me," said Xaba.
"We commend all participants of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K for their participation and efforts to help us pledge R1 for every kilometer run or walked by a Team Absa member on Strava. Congratulations to the well-deserving winners for their remarkable dedication and perseverance. Witnessing individuals, driven by diverse motivations, achieve personal milestones has been truly inspiring," said Jabulile Nsibanyoni, Absa’s Head of Sponsorships, Brand, and Marketing. "Your stories have deeply moved us and ignited a flame of motivation within our team. We extend our sincere appreciation to our colleagues, volunteers, partner sponsors, and organisers, whose steadfast support has made this event exceptional once again."
"Congratulations to Elroy Gelant and Christine Njoki for winning the 2024 edition of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, and Glenrose Xaba and Neheng Khatala for setting new national records. Your performances were truly inspiring. With four SA men going under 28-minutes, today will be remembered as one of the best 10km races run in the country and on the African continent. A massive thank you to the 10,000 runners who joined us on this incredible day—you are the heartbeat of this event. We extend our deepest gratitude to our sponsors, partners, and supporters, whose contributions and enthusiasm were invaluable and added immensely to the experience. Together, you all made this day exceptional. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year," said Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder.

Olympians gear up for Paris at Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
Legendary South African distance runner Elroy Gelant plans to use the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday, 7 July, as a crucial step in finalizing his preparations before heading to the Paris Olympics later this month.
"I have done well to prepare for this race. So I'm praying for good weather conditions in order to have a solid performance,” said Gelant.
Already a two-time Olympian, Gelant will compete in his second Olympic marathon next month. This year, he has been in outstanding form, achieving lifetime best times over 42.2km and 10km. His impressive 27:54 finish for second place at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K in May made him South Africa’s sixth athlete to break the 28-minute barrier for 10km on home soil.
Although he is one of the contenders to win the race on Sunday, the Boxer Athletics Club top runner says he must be a little cautious ahead of his third Olympic appearance.
“I’m not aiming for a very fast time or to dip under 28 minutes like in Cape Town. If I could produce 28:10 or 28:20, I'll be much happier. I don't want to go hard as it might mess with my Marathon which is in 5 weeks’ time. This race is crucial for building the final strength needed ahead of the Olympics. It’s all about striking the balance so I don't end up coming to the Olympics with the fatigue.”
Gelant will take on fellow Olympic marathoner Stephen Mokoka as well as SA 10km record holder (27:35) Precious Mashele and the race’s defending champion Kabelo Mulaudzi.
In the women’s race all eyes will be on Judith Kiyeng. Now 30 years old, the women who represented Kenya over 1500m at the 2016 African Championships in Durban, has stepped up in distance and is proving to be a more than useful 10km runner.
In just her first year as a 10km athlete, the East African ran 31:10 to win the 2022 Kiprun Race 10km in Lille, France - a mark which remains her personal best. In coming to the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K Kiyeng, who trains alongside Faith Kipyegon, is aiming to dip under 31 minutes for the first time.
“I’m hoping to run a good race on Sunday and to improve my time - maybe to run under 31. If my body will respond well on Sunday, I know it’s possible,” said Kiyeng.
South Africa’s Glenrose Xaba who broke 32 minutes for only the second time in her career just two weeks ago will lead the South African charge, while Lesotho’s Neheng Khatala who took second at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in May is targeting another podium finish.
Absa's Head of Sponsorships, Jabulile Nsibanyoni states: "We look forward to seeing you at the starting line of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K. The vibrant tapestry of our community is enhanced by your presence and stories, whether you're a seasoned runner, casual jogger, or enthusiastic spectator. We encourage you to join our R1 campaign by running or walking with us, this initiative is designed to make a real impact on communities throughout South Africa. Whenever a Team Absa member logs a kilometre on Strava, we will donate R1 towards community upliftment, reinforcing our commitment to positive change. Be sure to sign up and follow Team Absa Walk/Run on Strava to start tracking your kilometres and be part of this impactful journey.”
"We wish all our runners, both elite and social, the best of luck for Sunday’s Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K. It's going to be an incredible day of racing, filled with energy and excitement. We also invite spectators to come out and show their support. Your cheers and encouragement make a huge difference and help create an unforgettable atmosphere. Let’s make this a memorable event for everyone involved! Let’s #RunYourCity," says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder.

ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - Top contenders, Mulaudzi and Mashele aim for podium
Tuesday 02 July 2024
Top contenders, Mulaudzi and Mashele aim for podium at Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
Kabelo Mulaudzi established himself as the next big name in South African road running by winning the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K in 2023. The 26-year-old, who also recorded his first sub-28-minute 10km time during that race, says he is eagerly looking forward to competing again at the iconic event this Sunday, 7 July.
“Last year was one of the best moments of my career—probably the best ever. Even now, as I look ahead to this year’s race, I am confident that I can go sub-28 again because I always run well in Durban,” explains Mulaudzi. He set a personal best of 27:56 to beat the likes of Stephen Mokoka and Thabang Mosiako at the last edition of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K.
This time, however, Mulaudzi enters the race following a challenging four months. In March, the Boxer Athletic Club's top runner was unable to complete the senior men's race at the World Cross Country Championships in Serbia due to injury, and he could only manage a time of 29:52 at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in May. Nevertheless, after performing well in the Central Gauteng Athletics Cross Country League races in June, Mulaudzi is confident of delivering a better performance in eThekwini.
“My training has gone well over the past six weeks,” confirms Mulaudzi. “I generally reach peak fitness around June, so I’m hoping to set another personal best. My goal for Sunday is to run another sub-28 and secure a top-three finish. I don't want to focus too much on being the defending champion; I just want to enjoy the race because every race is a new challenge. A win would be a bonus.”
Leading the local challenge against the East Africans alongside Mulaudzi is Precious Mashele, who won the iconic race in 2021 and is one of the most consistent podium finishers in the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. Mashele, who secured third place at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K in April with a season’s best of 28:19, has been on the podium in four of his last six races. The 10km national record holder says he's ready for race day.
“The training has been going well. I’m ready. We’ve planned well. I’ll be happy if I finish on the podium,” says Mashele.
"We are excited to welcome back Kabelo Mulaudzi and Precious Mashele, both past winners of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K, to this year's race on Sunday, 7 July. Their presence adds incredible excitement and prestige to the event, and it’s a privilege to see these exceptional athletes in action. We know they will bring their best and inspire many with their performances,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder.

ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - Xaba targets sub 32
Wednesday 26 June 2024
Xaba targets sub 32 at Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
After clocking the second fastest 10km time of her career just three days ago, Glenrose Xaba wants to replicate her form when she takes on the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday, 7 July 2024.
“I'm very happy about this season so far as I have been training very hard and have even lost some weight in order to fulfil my goals,” she said.
Xaba dipped under 32 minutes for only the second time in her career when she ran a scintillating 31:57 to fall just two seconds short of equaling her lifetime best in Durban on Sunday 23 June. The reigning SA 5000m and 10 000m champion says her desire to dip under 32 minutes again is fueled by the opportunity of getting her hands on some of the generous monetary time bonus incentives that the race organisers have put in place for local athletes.
"If I manage to run 31 minutes then it shows that I can run 30 minutes soon. I would be glad if I can run a good time like this at the upcoming Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K because there are a lot of incentives in that race. I'm praying for beautiful weather on race day," explains Xaba who stands to pocket at least R60 000 if she can run faster than 32:08, with as much as R200 000 on offer for a time of 30:23 or faster.

"We're thrilled to have Glenrose Xaba competing at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on 7 July, especially after her recent 31:57 finish," says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. "Glenrose is an exceptional athlete, and we'll be rooting for her to improve her 10km time even further in Durban. We can't wait to witness her performance and see her shine on race day."

ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - Gelant, Mokoka to use this race as final fitness test before Olympic Marathon
Monday 24 June 2024
Gelant, Mokoka to use Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K as final fitness test before Olympic Marathon
After being officially added to the latest SA Olympic team, Elroy Gelant is enthusiastic about his third consecutive Olympic appearance, while Stephen Mokoka is proud to don the green and gold for the fourth time. However, both elite athletes will first focus their attention on the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday, 7 July 2024, as part of their preparation for the marathon at #Paris2024.
“I’m looking forward to the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K. I understand the expectations at the event and am prepared for the challenge,” confirms Gelant.
The 37-year-old has been in the shape of his life in 2024 setting personal bests over the marathon (2:08:56) and 10km (27:54), while winning national titles over both the standard marathon and half marathon.
Inspired by Precious Mashele’s 27:35 national record at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY GQEBERHA 10K last year, Gelant produced a maiden sub-28-minute 10km at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in May and has singled out the series as an important step in his own Olympic journey because it has helped to improve the standard of road running in South Africa.
Inclosing Gelant adds: “Our current generation of athletes are phenomenal. I think last year in Gqeberha was a good eye opener to show that we can dip under 28 minutes. And I think that there’s going to be one or two more that will be motivated by these performances to run that sub-28. This is good because ultimately that will improve our performances as long-distance athletes in South Africa.”
Gelant will line up alongside compatriot Stephen Mokoka when they take on the East Africans during the Olympic Marathon on 10 August. Mokoka says his plan is to use the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K as a fitness test before the big day in the French capital.
“The Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K is going to be a fitness checkup for me to see how my preparation has been going,” explains Mokoka. “It will be my final race before the Olympics. So, it’s part of the plan to make sure that I will be at my best. The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series has the best 10km races in the country. It’s always exciting because of the quality of the field and the incentives that are there to motivate us to try and run faster. Sub 28 will be good, but I’ll take anything under 29 because at the end of the day I must save up some energy for the Olympics.”
"Having both Elroy Gelant and Stephen Mokoka on the start line of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K is truly inspiring," says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series. "As they prepare for the Olympics, their participation highlights the prestige and competitive spirit of our event. Both athletes are exceptional representatives of South African running, and it's an honor to see them compete in Durban before they take on the world stage. We wish them the best of luck and are excited to witness their remarkable talent firsthand."

ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - Kiprop aims to follow in Cheptegei’s footsteps
Tuesday 18 June 2024
Kiprop aims to follow in Cheptegei’s footsteps at Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
Following the announcement of local favorites Elroy Gelant and Stephen Mokoka, Stillwater Sports, the organisers of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series, have revealed that Uganda’s Kenneth Kiprop, a training partner of 10,000m and 5,000m World Record holder Joshua Cheptegei, is the first East African athlete confirmed for the third leg of the five-part series, the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K that will take place on Sunday, 7 July 2024.
Kiprop, who secured sixth place at the 2023 World Cross Country Championships, is part of a new generation of Ugandan runners striving to follow in the fast footsteps of world record holders Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo. At just 19 years old, he aims to use his debut in the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series to make a name for himself.
“A lot of my fellow Ugandans have won the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K. So the people that inspire me like Joshua (Cheptegei) have made me decide to go and try to win in Durban,” explains Kiprop.
During the 2018 edition of the race, two Ugandans emerged victorious. Cheptegei won the men’s race in 27:16 which was the fastest time ever run on SA soil, while Stella Chesang won the women’s race in 31:14. Inspired by his compatriots, Kiprop has thrown himself into training and is ready to race.
“My training has been going well. I'm glad that I'm finally getting back in shape to run a Personal Best in Durban. I think my coach Addy Ruiter knows me very well and his training methods really help me to reach my goals,” admits Kiprop.
Running on the same lightning-fast course where Cheptegei set that SA All-Comers record six years ago, Kiprop who is the holder of a modest 28:46 lifetime best, is aiming to become only the fifteenth Ugandan man to dip under the magical 28 minute barrier.
In closing Kiprop adds: “I know that the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K has a fast course and that the environment is beautiful. I want to run my Personal Best and I hope to break 28 minutes for my comeback, and I will try to do my best to get on the podium.”
"We are thrilled to welcome Uganda’s Kenneth Kiprop to the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “We wish him all the success that his countryman, Joshua Cheptegei, achieved at this event six years ago. Having such strong international athletes line up on South African soil elevates the level of competition and inspires both local and international runners. It is an honor to host these elite athletes and witness their exceptional performances in our series.”

ABSA Run Your City Durban10 km - Mokoka set for Absa Run Your City Durban 10K
Tuesday 11 June 2024
Mokoka set for Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K - his final race before the Olympic Marathon
With less than two months until the Olympic Games commence in Paris, three-time Olympian Stephen Mokoka has confirmed that the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday 7 July 2024, will be his final race before competing in the Olympic Marathon five weeks later.
“The Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K is going to be a fitness checkup for me to see how my preparation has been going,” explains Mokoka. “It will be my final race before the Olympics. It’s part of the plan to make sure that I will be at my best five weeks away from the Olympics. It will help me to decide where I am in terms of the preparation,” said the man who is the holder of a 2:06:42 42.2km lifetime best.
His preparation for what will be his third attempt at the Olympic Marathon has been six months in the making. Mokoka began 2024 by taking on the Hong Kong Marathon in January, whose hilly course and humid weather mirrored the conditions he is likely to encounter on 10 August. A 2:12:58 finish for second place in Hong Kong, plus a debut at the Totalsports Two Oceans Ultra Marathon have left the 39-year-old strong. But is he still fast?
“My preparation has been going okay, especially since I have started introducing speed work after a period of speed endurance. Everything is looking good because the body is responding well and the legs are also responding well,” said Mokoka, who is the holder of a 27:38 10km lifetime best.
That disclosure will be music to the ears of his supporters who have been concerned about Mokoka’s 10km form this season. In 2024, the Hollywood Athletic Club top runner’s best 10km effort was a modest 29:19 clocking at last month’s Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K. But Mokoka says it’s all about peaking at the right time and the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K is the right place to run fast.
“The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series has the best 10km races in the country. I enjoy running them, specifically because I have been consistent in terms of my times and, I’m grateful that I managed to get sub 28 (last year). It’s always exciting because of the quality of the field and the incentives that are there to motivate us to try and run faster. That’s why I always come back. Sub 28 will be good, but I’ll take anything under 29 because at the end of the day I have to save up some energy for the Olympics.”
“We are thrilled to have Stephen Mokoka participating in the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K as his final race before the Olympic Games,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. “It’s fantastic to see the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series incorporated into the training schedules of South Africa’s elite runners. Stephen is a legend in the running community, and it’s an honor not only to have him on the start line but to also be part of his Olympic journey in 2024. We look forward to witnessing his exceptional performance and wish him all the best as he prepares for the Olympic Marathon.”

Gelant sets sights on another Sub-28 finish this time at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K
Fresh from winning his second national title in four weeks, Elroy Gelant has confirmed that he will line up at the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday 7 July 2024.
Lining up on a course that produced the SA All-Comers Record of 27:16 set by Uganda’s Joshua Cheptegei in 2018, Gelant knows that given his recent mercurial form, all eyes will be on him.
“I understand the expectations at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K and I am prepared for the challenge,” confirms Gelant.
The Boxer Athletics Club top runner has been in the shape of his life in 2024 setting personal bests over the marathon (2:08:56) and 10km (27:54), while claiming a silver medal in the 5000m at the ASA Senior Track and Field Championships.
“It's a testament to our hard work and dedication as a team. I’m referring to my coach, training mates and support structures,” said the University of the North-West lecturer who is coached by Jean Verster.
His victory at the Nelson Mandela Bay Half Marathon on Saturday 1 June was his sixth podium finish in as many starts which saw him feature in two marathons, a 21km race, two Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series 10km races and a 5000m race - all run during the last four months.
“My recovery is crucial to my success. I focus on proper rest, nutrition, and active recovery techniques to bounce back quickly from hard racing. It's all about finding the right balance between pushing my limits and allowing my body to recover effectively,” explained the 37-year-old.
After claiming a hard-fought second place behind Kenya’s Vincent Langat in what was his first sub-28-minute 10km clocking at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K (hosted on Sunday 12 May 2024), the two-time Olympian has set his sights on running even faster in Durban.
“My approach will be to focus on my abilities and stay confident in my preparations. It will be great to better my 27.54 personal best that I ran in Cape Town as the weather conditions in Cape Town were not ideal for running fast times; hopefully, we will be blessed with better running conditions in Durban,” concludes Gelant.
"We are thrilled to have Elroy Gelant join the lineup for the Absa RUN YOUR CITY DURBAN 10K on Sunday, 7 July," says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Series Founder. "Elroy is in the shape of his life, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to the sport. Not only is he an outstanding athlete, but also a fantastic ambassador for road running. It's an honor to have him toe the line in Durban, and we look forward to witnessing yet another stellar performance in this year's race."

EXCITING NEWS: In 2024, each of the five Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series events will showcase unique, city-specific medals, adding a personalized touch to the participant experience reflective of the host city's essence and character.
CHARITY SUPPORT: The Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series has welcomed the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) as the official charity of the entire series of events in 2024. A non-profit leader in the fight against cancer since 1931, CANSA enables research, educates the public and advocates for and supports all people affected by cancer, while leading SA towards a cancer-free society. When entering an Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series event online, runners can show their support by donating towards CANSA.
