The race will be run for the 20th time in 2024 There are five categories: men individual, women individual, men's teams, women's teams and mixed teams. The winner in the 12-hour event is the person who covers the greatest distance in the allocated time. The minimum distance that must be covered to earn a medal is 80 kilometres for runners and 70 kilometres for walkers.
