Pre-entries are available on http://www.vaalmarathon.co.za/entry-info.html No entries are taken on race day. Entries are limited to 2000. No spectators allowed.
Wheelchair athletes are welcome in all events but must comply with all the rules. The use of a suitable helmet is compulsory. Please be aware of pot holes along route. Only 1 pavement to mount.
Blind runners welcome, enter on the day directly with the organizers.

THE RUN
This two lapper gently meanders through the four suburbs of Vereeniging and along the Suikerbos, Vaal and Klip Rivers. While it is fair to say that the route is flat, it is by no means the easiest marathon; you will have to work the whole way.

EDITORS NOTES
Walkers are welcome to enter the half marathon. This is the biggest event in the Vaal Triangle and will celebrate its 46th anniversary in 2022. It is highly recommended as a flat and fast Comrades qualifier and attracts hundreds of runners from the Reef. It is a short 45 minute drive from Johannesburg. The race has well appointed watering tables, fun filled entertainment along the route and an exceptional finishing venue.
