The first kilometre is a fast gentle downhill along Hendrik Potgieter Road. Then a left into the pretty suburb of Little Falls and you start the climb up to the highest point at about 5.5 kilometres. It is a gentle climb up to Witwatersrand Road before turning right with the odd short downhill to relieve your legs.

Here you will have a great view of the valley spreading out towards Magaliesberg. Between 5.5 and 6.5 kilometres you drop rapidly, then it is a gentle climb up to eight kilometres, followed by a steady drop to nine kilometres. The climb to the finish in Hendrik Potgieter Road is gentle, but the last 80 metre climb into Clearwater Mall before turning right to the finish is tough.
