For the first time in the history of the Voet, the half marathon will go over the mountain like the marathon. The half marathon will start on the farm Grashoek, +-19km's outside Bredasdorp. You will see the marathon runners pass before and you will join them for 1,2kms. The first 2 kilometres is reasonably easy, the route is wide enough and lots of opportunity to pass other runners to get to the top of the mountain. The views from the top of the mountain will catch your breath. Take the view in on the way down. Part of the route will take you into private property. Do not drop your water sachets here. The first lady who reached the water station next to the Bredasdorp Dam at the bottom of the mountain and finishes the race will be crowned Queen of the mountain. From Bredasdorp Dam the route is fairly easy until you reach the main road at the brick works. From here you have 8km's to the finish. This part is on tar, but a few long and low hills will test your endurance. You might also find a few marathon runners on this part of the raod.
