Participants have the option to complete the marathon/distance entered on any Saturday or Sunday in the month of May 2021. Please note, your distance must be completed in one day. Participants are not allowed to use multiple days to complete the distance entered for.
Option One: Your route, Your Choice! Find the course of your choice and run your selected route. This could be on a public road, treadmill or in the comfort of your own property.
Timing will be done through Strava.
Option Two: “Run the real route” – Run the original 42.2km Joburg North City Marathon route in reverse from Northcliff Country Club. 21.1km, 10km and 5km will be redesigned within the original route from Northcliff Country Club.
These routes will be clearly marked before the 1st and cleaned up after the 30th. Please arrange with your club or your personal support team to supply your nutrition, water and energy drinks on your chosen day.
Please ensure you supply yourself with enough nutrition, water, and energy drinks for your chosen route.
You must upload your race data by 11h59 on 30th May 2021 to qualify for the leader board.
